Wright has taught communications for the VirginiaCommunity Colleges and presently offers Industry speeches and workshops. She volunteers as PR chairperson for both the Virginia Green Industry Council’s GoGreen project and NLAPW (Arts) association. 
 

Wright has provided speeches/workshops for events such as VCU Career Conversations, Bliley’s Women’s Forum, Clemson University conferences, International Assoc. of Business Communicators, Mid-Atlantic Horticulture Conference, and Society of Public Relations Professionals. She traveled to Canada as a featured speaker for the Garden Writers of America conference, and recently provided workshops for conferences held in Denver CO, VA Beach and Washington DC.  

Award the educator’s travel grant by the VA Horticulture Foundation in 2005, Wright is a contributing writer for the Green Industry. She  publishes 'communications' columns/features with Green Profit magazine, Mid-Atlantic Grower newspaper and the VA Nursery and Landscape newsletter.

Described by the VA Housing Development Authority as “right on target with our objective of improving communication within our department”,  Ted Randler editor for the Greater Richmond Area’s Work magazine says Wright’s writing is, “WOW!  And I mean wow! Not only do I want to buy the article I want to give you a regular column in WORKMAGAZINE.” 

As a communications personality, Wright has appeared on WTVR Channel 6 TV, FM 97.3 Inspiration Corner, WCVE PBS Richmond Channel 23 TV and Channel 35 TV Author’s Review. Her  publications are recognized by universities through out the U.S. and translated in Germany and Cuba.
